Opening Accounts

These accounts will be created in your name as a new property owner within three months of registration of your property at the Deeds Office. All municipal services are the responsibility of the new owner from date of registration and will be retrospectively charged by crediting the previous owner’s account and debiting the new owner’s account. New owner will have to apply for municipal services and pay the necessary deposit upon registration of the property in their name at the Deeds Office (if the property is not supplied and billed water and electricity through a body corporate or homeowner’s association)

If you do not receive a municipal account 3 months after registration, please visit our Revenue Offices at Corner Market and Commissioner Streets in Krugersdorp to open an account or send an email to customerservices@mogalecity.gov.za to enquire.

WATER AND ELECTRICITY: RESIDENTIAL

Once you receive a registration confirmation of your property in your name from the conveyancing attorneys, please visit our Revenue Office at the corner of Commissioner and Market Streets in Krugersdorp to complete an application form for water and electricity to be transferred to your name and to pay the necessary deposit.

The above applies to clients whose properties are not supplied and billed water and electricity through a body corporate or homeowner’s association

WATER AND ELECTRICITY: BUSINESS

Once you receive a registration confirmation in the company’s name from the conveyancing attorneys, please visit our Revenue Office at the corner of Commissioner and Market Streets in Krugersdorp to complete an application form for water and electricity to be transferred to your name and pay the necessary deposit.

A deposit amount per approved municipal tariffs is payable in cash, debit or credit card or by bank guaranteed cheque
